Club Sessions

Friday 6:15 am - 7:30 am
Thursday 4:45 pm - 6:00 pm
Sunday 1:15 pm - 2:30 pm

Fee Structure

Bronze membership (one session only per week) £15.00 per month
Silver membership (two sessions per week) £30.00 per month
Gold membership (all three sessions per week) £35.00 per month

It should be noted that all members should pay by standing order by the 28th of the preceding month.


New Members

  • The first two sessions for new skaters are free.
  • New members pay £2 per session, for two months - then move to a monthly membership (see above).

Background Information

The Flyers were formed in 2001 and enjoyed almost instant success with Stephanie Smith winning the Junior British Open Title. Jennifer Miller won the same title in 2003, breaking two British records in the process. Jennifer went on to become the PeeWee Girls British Champion in both 2005 and 2006.

Samantha Inch became the Juvenile British Champion in 2007 and 2008. More recently, Kathryn Thomson took PeeWee Girls British Champion title in 2009, with Alison Walker taking the Juvenile Girls title in the same year.

The club is coached by Archie Marshall - Level 5, assisted by Level 1 coaches Stewart Logan and Carol Miller.

Community Amateur Sports Club Status

With effect from 16th June 2005 Ayrshire Flyers Speed Skating Club is registered with the Inland Revenue as a Community Amateur Sports Club (for the purposes of schedule 18 Finance Act 2002) This means that tax paid on donations by benefactors through either gift aid or sponsorship can be reclaimed by the club.
